Synopsis

Review
I read / listened to this in tandem with Empire or Storms and as I said in that review, this was a bit of a slog! Having said that, Tower was very different to Empire. Tower is focused primarily on the PoV's of Chaol and Yrene and their journey, rather than Aelins.
Tower does end with a chapter from Aelins Pov which I'm guessing will lead you in Kingdom of Ash, but we'll see!
Now I've heard that a lot of people decided to skip this book but no, no no, do not skip! Yes, this book is mostly about the relationship between Chaol and Yrene as she attempts to heal him from his injuries from the Queen of Shadows. But don't skip! The end of this book, makes the almost 700 pages worth it!
Like with my Empire review, even though I've just finished the tandem read / listen, I don't recall the names of all the characters or all the plot points! I just have a warm feeling inside! I did however love Chaols growth in this book. Our boys come so far. I've always loved Chaol, from book one, but I do love the man he has become even more!
Oh and the note that Yrene carries with her all the time...chefs kiss!! Again, read the book for the closing chapters of this book alone!
This book to me wasn't as action packed or as eventful as Empire BUT it is still a MUST read! I can't help but feel that one of them is going to die...Chaol, Yrene or both, one I feel is going to die...I just have a feeling...I hope I'm wrong!
